Österr. Einzelgnehmigung v. 1974
Motor Nr. M3 240
Fgest. Nr. 2301
The bike was last ridden in October and it operates through the gears, engine runs quite nicely.
The bike was probably sold in Vienna in about 1929, 1930. It always has been in Austria.
We know the motorcycle in the last 15 years. It belonged to a customer of ours in the southern county of Salzburg.
Prior to that, the bike has been in the Salzburg Area.
There was a petrol tank manufacturing company in Vienna, that used to update motorcycles from Flat tank to saddle tank.
I am sure this bike is such a bike and the saddle tank was put on between 1928-1930
990cc Matchless engine, based on the MAG engine and Sturmey Archer 3 Speed gearbox.
The front brake is not original, although later Matchless, for better breaking.
The headlight fitted, is Bosch with a rolling type speedo.
These are very rare headlights. Originally it would have been fitted with a bottom mounted headlight.
The original bracket is still there.
