Brough Superior 1927/2008. SS100 Pendine. Racer

1150cc OHV electric start, Racer. Jap 50° V-Twin engine OHV. Three speed genuine Sturmy Archer close ratio (CR) gear box, fitted with electric start. Twin genuine Amal Racing Carburettors. Lucas genuine magneto. 21" wheels back and front. Oil pump genuine Pilgrim.

This is the first and only Pendine, Brough Superior Motorcycles built, under the Brough Superior Brand Name, by Brough Superior Ltd, since the 40's.

Mark Upham, the 4th owner of Brough Superior Motorycycles, rebuilt the company after buying the IP in 2008.

George Brough the the company founder, built 27 racing Pendine Motorcycles, between 1927 and 1928. 10 survived to date.

The first Pendine was sold to Eddy Meyer of Austria and still survives to day with it's original engine.This would be a Million doller motorcycle. The last was sold to Argentina, now being rebuilt with the help of Brough Superior Ltd. in Texas, USA.

The first showing of the Pendine, was in 2009 at Pebble Beach, with Ron Chrisenson (Mid America Auctions) now a part of Mecum. The Brough Superior Motorcycle Stand was visited by, Jay Leno, and Paul d'Orleans (The Vintagent), there the Pendine was then riden the next day by Jay and Paul.

November 2009, the Pendine was exhibited in Saville Row in a Gentlemen outfitters.

November 2010, the Pendine was used at the Ralph Lauren Party in St. German and a photo shoot for RRL in Paris on the Sein. The Pendine remained in Paris at Ralph Lauren in there window for 18 weeks.

In 2011 The Pendine, was used by Men's File Magazine and Ralph Lauren for a photo shoot at Bonneville, with BUB.

In 2013, the Pendine was ridden on the Pendine Sands in Wales, a favourite race way of George Brough, the founder of the Brough Superior Motorcycle company. Hence giving his racing machines, the name Pendine.

August 2013 exhibited in Biarritz (France), at Wheels & Waves.

2014 Road raced by Mark Upham in Spain.

2013 to 2017 the Pendine lived in the New Brough Superior Motorcycle factory in Toulouse. This Pendine is one of the Brough Superiors that inspired, Thierry Henriette (Boxer Design) to create the New Brough Superiors in his factory, Brough Superior SAS, the new Brough Superiors are still built today in Toulouse France.

2017-2019 the Pendine was part of a Brough Superior exhbition in Austria at the Top Mountain Motorcycle Museum (6000 feet over see level).

This Brough Superior Pendine is a real piece of history. This motorcycle is not exhibit, it works and rides.
